This summer ASCE at UCLA competed in the 2015 National Concrete Canoe Competition in Clemson, South Carolina. The Concrete Canoe competition is broken down into four, equally weighted sections: Design Report, Oral Presentations, Final Product, and Races. For the project, students must design, build, and race their very own concrete canoe. ASCE at UCLA placed 5th overall in the Oral Presentation category as well as placed 4th in Men’s Endurance and 4th in the Coed Sprint during race day.
