Bio

Marc Edwards is the Charles P. Lunsford Professor of Environmental and Water Resources at Virginia Tech University. He performs research and teaching in the area of water treatment, corrosion arsenic removal and other areas of applied aquatic chemistry. He obtained his PhD from the University of Washington and has been at Virginia Tech since 1992. He is the recipient of many awards including the 2008 McArthur Foundation Fellowship and has been listed amongst the most influential people in the world by Fortune and Time Magazine. His team exposed the Flint water crisis and he volunteered for over a decade to expose the Washington D.C. Lead in Drinking Water Crisis.
