RESEARCH INTERESTS
My primary teaching and research interests include: groundwater, landfills, geosynthetics and geosynthetic clay liners, large strain consolidation, soft soils, soil and geosynthetic testing, soil dynamics, slope stability, and retaining walls. I have conducted research funded by the National Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Indiana Dept. of Transportation, California Dept. of Transportation, Indiana Cast Metals Association, Purdue Research Foundation, and the geosynthetic clay liner and MSE retaining wall industries. My research projects involve theoretical, numerical, laboratory, and field work.
