The CEE community was well represented at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch (MLAB) Annual Awards Dinner, held on Thursday, July 9th at City Club Los Angeles.
The annual event celebrates outstanding achievements and leadership within the civil engineering profession, recognizing individuals and projects that have made significant contributions to the field and their communities.
Several members of the UCLA CEE community were among this year’s distinguished honorees:
- Sage Smith ’26 received the Outstanding Student Award in recognition of academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the civil engineering profession.
- Ingrid Spielbauer ’20, MS ’25 was honored as Outstanding Civil Engineer in Community Service for her dedication to serving the community through engineering.
- Professor Michael Stenstrom received the Outstanding Life Member Award, recognizing his longstanding contributions to the civil engineering profession and the ASCE community.
Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees for their outstanding accomplishments and for continuing UCLA’s tradition of excellence in civil and environmental engineering.
