Mr. Yourman will discuss the port’s history, development, future, and their effect on Southern California. Issues affecting the ports such as seismicity and global warming will be addressed.

Allen Yourman is a licensed civil and geotechnical engineer with over 35 years of geotechnical experience. He attended UCLA receiving his BS Engineering and MS Engineering in the 1970s. In 1992, he co-founded Diaz Yourman & Associates, one of the leading geotechnical firms in Southern California. Mr. Yourman has authored more than a dozen technical papers on geotechnical engineering at national and international conferences.
