Students enrolled in Civil and Environmental Engineering (C&EE) 121, Design of Foundations and Earth Structures,  recently visited the construction site for the new Crenshaw/Martin Luther King subway station of the Crenshaw/LAX transit project. The project is a $1.766 Billion, 8.5 mile light rail project with eight stations. Students were able to talk to personnel from Metro and the contractor, and learn more about tunneling, deep excavation and retaining structures, to support the curriculum of C&EE 121.

C&EE 121 is led by instructors Dr. Jonathan Stewart and Dr. Martin Hudson.
