UCLA civil and environmental engineering graduate student Onja Davidson Raoelison will be awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award for Teaching Assistants this coming fall quarter by the UCLA Center for the Advancement of Teaching. Raoelison was chosen as one of only five awardees out of the UCLA TA population for her “innovative teaching methods and [her] ability to inspire and motivate learners.”

The award is given to exceptional TAs with outstanding teaching skills and profound dedication to their students. Awardees will receive a certificate of recognition and a $2,500 award. Eligible TAs will also be given a $20,000 Dissertation Year Fellowship Award from the UCLA Graduate Division.

The awardees will be recognized at the annual Andrea L. Rich Night to Honor Teaching event during the 2023 fall quarter.

Congratulations, Onja!
