UCLA Samueli civil and environmental engineering professor and department chair Ertugrul Taciroglu was named inaugural editor-in-chief of the newly launched American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) open access journal: ASCE OPEN: Multidisciplinary Journal of Civil Engineering.
According to the ASCE, Taciroglu “brings enthusiasm and a wealth of practical experience to this role.”
Taciroglu says, “Convergence research is critical. Having a broad cross-section of experts contributing research from multidisciplinary areas, including resilient and sustainable infrastructure, alternative energy sources, clean water and water security, climate change mitigation and adaptation, cybersecurity, and more, is the goal of this journal. I am excited to be a part of this new publication.”
