Professor Ertugrul Taciroglu has received a LEAP-HI grant for the development of advanced tools that will use computer vision and machine-learning techniques to extract terrain and fuel characteristics from satellite and drone data. His research is expected to enable direct utilization of event data for near-real-time predictions of fire propagation.
