The professional group Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) named UCLA Samueli civil and environmental engineering associate professor Jiaqi Ma as the 2023 editor-in-chief of the IEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems.
The IEEE Open Journal aims to encompass all the aspects of electrical and electronics engineering as it is applied to Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Ma is also the director of the UCLA Mobility Lab and faculty associate director of the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies. Ma’s research includes connected and automated vehicles, cyber-physical transportation systems, transportation systems resilience, and artificial intelligence and advanced computing applications in transportation.
