The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through their Los Angeles Younger Member Forum (YMF), awarded a number of scholarships to several UCLA Samueli civil and environmental engineering students. The students were chosen based on their community involvement, growth within the profession, academic achievements, and many other considerations.

The scholarships were awarded at the society’s YMF Awards Dinner last February 4th at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Recipients of the scholarships are Brigid Ahern, Luke Barrella, Marie-Pierre Delisle, Getty Liu, Tori Mok, Lea Shagiakhmetova, Akshyae Singh, and Katherine Tsai.

Since 1852, ASCE has represented more than 150,000 civil engineers all over the world and is the oldest engineering society in the U.S.

Congratulations to all the awardees!
