Seminar Speaker: Greg DiLoreto, PE – The 2021 ASCE Report Card for America’s Infrastructure

Speaker: Greg DiLoreto, PE
Affiliation: American Society of Civil Engineers

ABSTRACT

The American Society of Civil Engineers and its 150,000 members have long advocated for the care of the nation’s infrastructure. Since 1998, ASCE has issued the Report Card for America’s Infrastructure. Using a simple A to F school report card format, ASCE examines current infrastructure conditions and needs, assigns grades, and makes recommendations for how to improve various categories of infrastructure. The 2021 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure reveals we’ve made some incremental progress toward restoring our nation’s infrastructure.. However, 11 categories are still in the D range and there remains significant work to be done. Join Greg DiLoreto to hear more about the methodology, 2021 findings, and how Congress might act to increase investment in infrastructure this year.
